Just recently, author, social worker, and activist Feminista Jones tweeted the most brilliant way to piss off men, and it’s genius.
Jones realized that every time a man compliments her and she replies with a simple, straight-faced ‘thanks’ rather than a squeaky ‘thank-you’, men get upset. Simply accepting their compliments is something they don’t expect and it pisses them off (not all men, of course). “It’s the idea that they bestow the compliment on you, and you’re not supposed to be aware of it,” Jones told Buzzfeed. “Generally we’re taught that we’re not supposed to compliment ourselves.
