After something as horrific and devastating as a car crash, small crumbs of comfort suddenly take on a much greater importance. When your world has collapsed around you and your face and body is all beat up, the fact that your makeup still looks boss can be enough to lift the spirits, just a little!
This was the case for 25-year-old Boston nurse Shelby Pagan, who was hit by a car doing 55 mph by the side of the road after running out of gas. “I was treated in the ER for a cervical strain, closed head injury, knee contusion and forehead lacerations,” she wrote. “I consider myself lucky to have walked away from the accident relatively unhurt and alive.”
After taking a picture of herself for police to use as evidence, she was pleasantly surprised by the durability of her eyeliner. After all the crying and wiping of blood, it still looked amazing and she received many compliments on an Instagram post of her selfie. So she decided to leave a glowing review on the site of the product.
After all, if an eyeliner can survive post-crash sobs and hospital treatment, it’s definitely doing its job!Her hilarious review was boosted by Twitter user
