What I was up to other than here:
- Ben has started work again in Ratnagiri and has spent the first bit of the week there. Sadly, that also means the Bolero is gone for the season and I’m back in the dusty Omni. His friend John is coming again for a visit for a couple weeks which is always fun!
- I was SOO excited to be on this list from Tripadvisor about Instagrams to follow in 2016, because so many on this list are ones that I love and honestly I can’t believe they even included me! Also, I did a collab on this article which was published on Huffington Post.
Now your story,
One of my favorite little things about living in Goa is how the boys go by with bread in the morning and afternoon. It’s hot and fresh from the oven. They come on bicycles and yell out or ring a bell to let us know they are here. I wrote about it here.
Actually, they come by for a lot of things. Some men are selling dusters. Some sell peacock feathers. Some are collecting bottles.
I was cleaning the kitchen and looking out the window when, for the first time I noticed a guy carrying a big piece of equipment! I realized I’d seen it in Mapusa and he was a knife-sharpener. How convenient. He sharpened my two big kitchen knives for 40 Rs. although I gave him a tip (it’s really hot!).
This is India!
