The closer you look, the more these intricate bronze sculptures reveal. USA-based Columbian artist Nano Lopez‘s distinctive bright style produces pieces that look like from a world without borders of ordinary maps. “I <…> look for all kind of textures that make the pieces aesthetically more interesting,” Lopez said. “With the animals, for example, you are trying to find enough power so that it’s not a representation of a horse or a giraffe, but it’s the piece itself. It’s, first of all, that piece.”
