Two years ago, the monoamniotic twins born holding hands left doctors in awe. Now, the girls Jenna and Jillian Thistlethwaite are closer than ever.
Jenna and Jillian Thistlethwaite were born with a rare 1 in 10,000 condition – the twins shared the same amniotic sac within their mother’s uterus. They were born 45 seconds apart and as soon as they were close enough to each other – they clasped hands.
Everyone in the delivery room was speechless.Now, two years have passed and not much has changed. The girls are still inseparable. ‘Sometimes if my husband goes to the store, he’ll take one twin and I’ll keep the other,’ Thistlethwaite told People magazine. ‘When that happens, they both get really upset and ask for each other. They’re definitely really close. They’re like two peas in a pod.’ Awwwwww…
